My learning English

I would like to use this blog for learning and for improving my language. Every day is one step to my improvment. So I want to look back and analyse : how good I could use this day. Was it effectively or not.

Describing things in English

Last days I thought a lot about improving my language: so here are my new goals:
The hard thing for me is to describe human face or body. Actually it is a method of learning foreign language - describing pictures.
I found some useful pages for that:
1. Describing things in English or a second language
2. Describing People, Part One : Faces
3. How to describe a person | Using descriptive words
4. How to Describe a Character's Looks Well
5. How to Describe a Person's Physical Appearance

While I surfed for decribing materials I found something interesting "The structural linguist Roman Jakobson came up with 6 essential functions of language that can help us categorize the ways in which we put our language to use. So how dynamic are you when it comes to communication in a new tongue and which function are you most likely to use: poetic, phatic, referential?"
